Camp Woodland 2024

Camp Woodland in Georgia is the ideal setting for your camp experience this summer. While in past years, we've been on the east junction side of Woodland, this year we will use the west Heritage side. With the Atlanta airport nearby - the busiest airport in the world - we welcome you to come enjoy the southeastern United States this year and spend some time underneath the Georgia Pines with us.

Camp focus: The focus of Camp Woodland will be on helping you build a closer relationship with God and other teens your age. Drawing from God's word, you will develop new life and leadership skills through the camp experience. And given this year's theme of "Stand Strong," you will learn how to stand strong for God mentally and spiritually, even as you grow physically while you are at camp.

Dorm life: Dorms are determined by age. This gives campers a chance to create lifelong friendships and allows for a more tailored learning experience based on maturity level.

Camp activities: In terms of activities, we will offer archery, basketball, campfires, canoeing, dance class, high and low ropes courses with a zip line over the lake, kayaking, paddle boats, speed-away, softball, swimming, traverse wall, ultimate frisbee and volleyball.

Bedding and towels: All campers will sleep in bunk beds. Campers and staff need to bring their own bed sheets, blankets, a pillow and towels to camp.

Travel: Camp Woodland is 45 minutes away from Hartsfield-Jackson International airport in Atlanta, Georgia. For those flying into Atlanta, we will arrange free transportation to/from camp. To ensure you have transportation to and from the airport, you must inform us that you plan to fly to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport when you mail in your camp tuition.

We ask that you schedule your arrival and departure times from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 19 and 26. (For staff, plan to arrive and depart between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 18 and 26.) If you fly to Camp Woodland, you must email us your flight times by July 5. Email this information to Bob McCurdy at ram19@bellsouth.net.

We look forward to seeing you this summer at Camp Woodland!
