Summer 2020 Friday Night Bible Discussions

We're very sad that summer camp is canceled this year, but we want to give everybody a focused way to connect with each other, and with God and His Word. So we’re excited to host weekly Christian-living Bible discussions each Friday evening for the next six weeks on Zoom.

We begin with a special Bible study video given by one of the camp directors, and afterwards is a moderated discussion. Everything is password-protected but it is the same password each week. If you don't already have the password see your local pastor. There are different discussion groups for those in different time zones but you can join either of the groups..

The Zoom chats will be each Friday night during July—July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31—at the same times as listed above.

For this week's discussion, please come prepared to discuss these questions:

  1. Relating to the concept of Holiness – what are some ways that you are called to be different than the world around you?
  2. How does our commitment to God, and learning to lead factor into this concept of holiness? In those terms – why is our example so important?
  3. What makes being different in this world such a challenge? How can we overcome that challenge in our lives?
  4. How do you maintain God’s presence in your life? In the Sabbath? How have you purposefully built your relationship with God to keep Him close?
  5. What are the obstacles to building that relationship and to maintaining His presence in Your life? How can those obstacles be overcome?
